Hello Alex,
I need some advice about my career choices.
My profile:
Nationality: Indian.
Work Ex: Close 8 yrs of IT experience. Currently working for Accenture UK as a Team leader.
Gmat score: 600 - QA 42, VA 30 And AWA 5.0
Extra Curriculars.
3 Dan black belt in Karate
Taught Martial arts for close to 7 years in India
Out of interest i have been involved in community service in various ways and have been recognized by my company for it.
Play Badminton regularly and was a part of the corporate badminton team in India
And have run a Half marathon on pure will power (no preparation)
I have around 5 years of Retail functional experience working for some of the best retailers in UK. And have ITIL certified.
I do want to progress in my career and hence i want to do an Mba. I would ideally want to take up a career in field which is a combination of Retail and IT as i have some basic understanding of these fields.
I am not happy with my score. And i am sure i can do better than that as my gmat prep score were around 690, 700. But i am dont want to delay and want to apply now itself. Cos i am not sure how far will a score like 670 take me if i apply around April, May. Before I got my score, i wanted to do an mba from either Oxford or Cambridge (general mgmt).
I am looking at Sep 2010 admissions.
1) Based on my profile could you please recommend some good universities in UK only for combination of retail/IT or retail consulting?
2) Do you think i should retake gmat and apply after that?
3) Before deciding to contact you, i was thinking of applying for Warwick college. Do you think it is good idea? And if so what are my chances?
4)
Thanks Again.
