Hi Paul,
I am 26 year old Indian, male, IT Consultant looking forward to applying for MBA this year. I have a 670 (40 V, 42 Q) in GMAT, 3.4 CGPA and around 3 years of work experience. I also have an experience of running my own firm (Small one, failure) for an year. I have participated actively in community service and sports as well.
I am looking for specialisation in General Management or International Business Management.
I have shortlisted my selection of universities to:
ISB
IESE
ESADE
HEC-Paris
Purdue
Georgetown
Please let me know if there are any realistic chances of getting in to these universities. Am I aiming too high?? Should I look at some lesser known universities. Please advise.
Waiting for you feedback.
Cheers,
Sandeep.
Sandeep,
No, your GMAT is right at the median/average of all of these schools. Because your profile is a bit common, however, I recommend that you work hard at giving them outstanding essays and reco letters so you stand out from the other applicants who are, like you, just competitive at these schools.
Good luck,
