Since we know that the total number of employees in both companies is equal, let's denote it as x.
Then we have:
0.4x+30=0.6x-30
Solving for x, we get 300.
Is that right?

Let total employees in A = total employees in B = x

Females in A = 40% of x = 2x/5

Females in B = 60% of x = 3x/5

Now,it is given that , females in B - 30 = females in A

=> 3x/5 - 30 = 2x/5
=> x/5 = 30
=> x = 150

Hence, total employees in A & B = 2x = 2*150 = 300

My working :
x = total no.of employees in A/B

From the problem we can see 0.2x = 60 ; x = 300

But the combined employee strength of A + B = 600(no option)

Please clarify the q
