Please evaluate my chances for part-time program - Fall 07 [#permalink] New post 01 May 2006, 09:53
Hi,
Can someone please evaluate my changes to get into a part-time program at NYU Stern/Chicago/Kellogg.

GMAT : 690 (48Q, 36V) AWA 5

Education:
M.S (Computer Science)- Univ. of Texas GPA 3.91/4.0
B.E (Electrical Engg.) India - 8th rank in the Univ.

Experience:
Presently working in a top online travel company as Software Architect. Total work exp. in US 5 years in software development.
+ 2 years in India in software consulting.

Presently on H1-B visa.

Also are there any other good schools where I could qualify.

Thanks,

Sushilk,

Showing leadership experiences will be important for you. Assuming you can, based on your numbers and the selectivity rates at Kellogg and NYU (Chicago's are unknown but presumably similar), I would say you have a chance at Stern, Chicago, and Kellogg (part-time). Almost half of all applicants who apply to Kellogg and NYU are admitted, and your GMAT is in line with their average. I would encourage you to spread your bets, however. UCLA, Haas, and USC also have highly ranked part-time programs, and USC's in particular would be easier for you to break into.

Good luck,
