Why Business School... Truthfully, I read the Economist daily in order to study for the MCATS, I wanted to be a doctor. Personally I have decided I want to get a MBA in financial accounting. I want to be able to use my Biotech background (one of the newest up and coming industries) to become an accountant for larger up and coming Biotech firms.
My issue is I have no work experience related to finance or business. Due to the fact my undergrad relied mostly on studying the sciences... my job experience falls on scientific R&D. 2+ years in Academic research in the area of Drug Addiction Therapy and Fat Metabolism.
Prereqs: I do not believe business schools require prereqs for the most part. However I can take, accounting I and II while getting my current masters degree as well as some finance courses.
My question is apart from GMAT scores, which I haven't taken yet, what can I do about the work experience area? What am I overlooking?
