I woukd also add Columbia, NYU, and Wharton to your list. Other than that, I think you have a good list of schools. If you're interested in strategy, HBS is very strong there.

To be honest, I don't know if there's one big list out there that says which school is famous for what. But our book does provide in-depth profiles of 27 top U.S. schools as well as three international ones. Those profiles help you get a feel for which schools are strong in finance and/or international business.

By the way, I love your community involvement work. As you probably know, your challeneg as an engineer from India is to stand out from the pack. I think that experience, and your leadership experiences at work, will help you a lot!

Yup, schools will accept a reco from someone who was your former boss, esp. if they worked with you for a while (two years is a good amount of time) and they have examples or your past that are still relevant.

They will always prefer your current boss, though, unless your current boss has only worked with you for a short amount of time.
