Pretest section [#permalink] New post 17 Dec 2003, 02:13
Hi.

I have just taken a GRE test at a Prometric centre, and this centre administers GMAT test as well.

I just came to know when I take the test there is something called "Pretest section", and I never read about that before. It is just like a additional section e.g. quantitative section with the same amount of time and questions that would not be scored. The test-taker basically has to do twice, not knowing which one is the actual one.

It stated was that it applies to GMAT, GRE so can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

This does not happen with the GMAT. Experimental questions are mixed in with scored questions in the same section. You only take one quantitative section, and only one verbal section, plus the two essays.
