I can't imagine that your apps are individualized at all with you applying to that many schools. That's probably a mistake. You think you're increasing your odds, but you're really diluting your apps.
Your best shot is probably Carnegie. Assuming you haven't diluted your apps too much, you'll probably get into one or two.

I agree with truthringer. Each application takes a very long time! Its a misconception that you can duplicate the application for one school for the others.

If you are applying this year, then it's probably too late to force community service into your application.
I would apply to 1 ultra elite, a couple elites and a safety.
The issue is that there are a number of applicants applying with a similar background as yours, so you must find a way to differentiate yoruself.

If you are really considering quitting your full-time job and joining a community service organization, only do so because that's what you're truly passionate about -- not to get into a top b-school. Doing it just for your application (when you're not really passionate about it) will cause your overall story to not fit together, which will hurt your chances overall.

It doesn't have to just be community service. It can be anything that is unique vs. other applicants (and is true about you)... Your background (not professional background), your interests, your hobbies, and any other things that you have passion for.
