Hi lapras, I think you have some sort of a typical profile for someone who wants to go into finance. You've worked in the scope of derivative trading (besides the family business), and you've cleared CFA level 2. Your numbers are good, but I think what will differentiate yourself with the other Indians is the story that you can tell. As you probably know, a bunch of Indians with similar numbers are going to apply to the top b-schools in the states, who may also have a desire to enter the financial market post-MBA. With that said, your numbers pass the initial screening, but your stories have to be awesome. With some great essays and fantastic recs, I don't see why you won't be able to gain entry to some of the top b-schools (along with some luck, of course).
I'd look at Wharton and Booth for the top of the top. Depending on where you want to work afterwards, I'd then put in your bid. If it's in NY, obviously check out Columbia and NYU. If it's LA, definitely look at Anderson. Some other schools to look at: Haas, Fuqua, and Kellogg. Honestly, as long as you to a top 16 b-schools in the states, you will have your chance at your financial industry (perhaps not hedge fund directly). You will, however, have to do your legwork.
