22, Male

GMAT: 690 49Q, 35V
GPA: 3.8
Undergrad: BS Biology/BA Chemistry w/ minors in Economics and Business Administration (all in 4 years, no summers)
Work Experience: None really.
Extra-curricular: A LOT. A lot of leadership experience, community volunteering, etc. All 3+ years.
Reccommendations: Above average (most of my professors in our B-School would consider me a top student).
Career Plans: Plan on medical school after MBA. I am interested in working as a physician for an academic hospital (apart from doing clinical things, would also like to handle administrative side of things, DTD operations, etc). Eventually go into consulting and govt.

Where should I apply? I don't necessarily need to go to top MBA program, just somewhere respectable that will MORE IMPORTANTLY give me a great education. Also, maybe a school that would possibly give me a full tuition scholarship (international student). Not really up to speed on MBA programs, etc, so any help would be most welcome. Thank you in advance.

Edit: Also trying to stay somewhere around eastern seaboard of US.

You seem to have a lot going for you and the only obvious deficiency in your candidacy is your lack of formal work experience - which some business schools cite as a pre-requesite for admissions. Despite this, there are a number of schools that we have had candidates with little to no work experience accepted to over the past two years -- including Wharton, Columbia, Stern, Johnson and Booth.

You need to be very careful with how you present your career goals in your essays as admissions will be looking for a well defined career plan as well as compelling reasons why you want to pursue a graduate business degree at this stage of your personal/professional development. What you present in your profile needs to be re-worked a bit as it would not sell well at most top programs.

Hi,

You have good profile except lack of work experience, suggest you to do some research on schools which are good in fields like healthcare management and also focus more on your application essays, that is where you can highlight on your leadership qualities to build a stellar application.

What I think is your profile is good enough to get admission is reputed school. But only flaw is the no working experience. You work experience helps a lot in order to valuate your profile. But do not worry you sure will get admission just have a little research for the schools specializes in healthcare management as nehasingh has mentioned.
