I'm concerned about your GPA and mildly concerned about your GMAT. Your description doesn't tell me much, but if you do have some leadership and impact in your work and extracurricular experience, then you stand a chance. You may want to build an alternate transcript of a few pre-business courses to demonstrate your academic ability beyond the 2.95.

Thanks Jennifer. I had some health/family issues and have an explanation for the low gpa - I will be submitting this to the schools. Do you think I need to take my GMAT again? Will my higher quantative score benefit me? I also got a 5 out of 6 on the writing/essay section of the GMAT.

Thanks!

A higher GMAT score will definitely help you, yes. While your health and family issues understandably affected your GPA, that number is the only evidence the programs have of your academic ability. You may wish to build an alternate transcript by taking a couple of courses to boost that number for them and prove that when your health is fine, you are a high academic achiever.
