I'm gonna be straight up honest with you sir, as an Indian Tech male, you basically have two choices:
1. Retake the GMAT

The schools you listed will just get too many applications from your pool, and many will have GMATs of 700 or above. even if you make a stellar application, the going will be very tough without at least 50 points higher on your GMAT.

Jon,
I retook the GMAT and scored 710 (v39 88%ile; q49--83%ile). Do you think now I stand some chance? Not much has changed. I have received Barack Obama's medal for volunteering in my firm.

Thanks

Congratulations dude!!!
Of course it changes things! It changes everything!

You still do need to make a stellar application, but now the schools you prefer are within reach. So you may apply to the three schools you have listed, although I would suggest adding two to three more schools that interest you.

Glad to hear the great news!

Thanks Jon. Do you mind defining "reach" -- a good chance or just a chance or meager chance? The issue is that I am from most represented demographics - Indian/Engineer. Not sure whether my current managerial role at Wall street firm will help.

Thanks

Well Wharton is I would say a farther reach, columbia less so and NYU a bit (meaning you are pretty competitive).
Top Bank + great grades + obama = interesting.

It won't get you automatically into Wharton, but with a great application you have a shot. That's why I would add two more schools on the "lower" side of things (but which still fit your goals) Perhaps Johnson, Darden, KenanFlagler? (for consideration.. there are others of course.. but east coast is good for banking)
