I think that your career goals and the level of schools you are targeting make sense given your background. I love that you're targeting just a handful of schools, and at a few different "levels." Just be sure that they're all schools that you truly want to attend. I'd add Kellogg to your list if you're interested in marketing strategy and like Midwest schools.
I don't think you fall into the typical pool of Indian applicants, but you will still need to distinguish yourself -- in your case, it's vs. other consultants more than anything. If you don't have much community service experience, that's not automatically a deal breaker. But be sure that you have something -- whether it's your basketball volunteering, Toastmasters, your internal firm activities, etc. -- that you're passionate about. Even better is if you can show how you've made an impact, even if it's not with a traditional comm. service experience.
That's tough about the GMAT... Given your engineering background, it would especially help you if you can get your Verbal score up. But you sound like you have the right plan.
