Hi Alex,

Here is my profile, what I'm looking for is to redirect my career and establish it in the US. I will thank you any comment or help you can provide:

Age: 27
Country: Mexico
BA in International Finance by University of Monterrey

GMAT score: 700

Professional Experience:
4 years in a world leading manufacturing company, starting as a project coordinator, moving on to HR analyst and currently being a Learning consultant leading the HR and learning teams as Team Leader providing support to a variety of facilities in Mexico. My main responsibilities currently are facilitate workshops on lean manufacturing, execute and maintain the capability building strategy (knowledge management) and lead HR projects related to development of people.

EC:
* I have created a logistics company that provides freight services to companies in Mexico. I started the business at home in April 2008. Cuurrently has an office in town and sales have increase around 300%.
* I'm currently doing an MBA in EGADE (a top 5 BS in LatinAmerica) with a 97/100 GPA.
* I also have studies in journalism as I was selected to participate in a journalism workshop hosted and developed by one of the most prestigious newspapers in Mexico.

Recognitions:
* High Performance Achievement Award by VP in 2007.

The schools that I want to apply for are:
1. MIT Sloan

What I'm looking for in a B-school is someone who can provide me the knowledge and competitive edge to change careers to the banking industry or entrepreneurship. This is why I have selected Sloan as my first choice.

Doing an MBA right now will be a problem - it's sort of like wanting to get into a relationship with a woman when she knows you're still in a relationship with another woman.

Apply to your list of schools - do the best you can on the applications, and hope for one of them to say yes. That's about all you can do.

I appreciate your answer, Alex...one question, would it be the same if I haven't being doing an MBA?

Thanks,

You'd have a better shot, yes. Schools like Wharton, Columbia and Sloan will still be stretches but you would at least be closer to being in the mix.
