Age - 27
Career - Investment Banking at Boutique Firm (Recently promoted from Analyst to Associate)
Undergrad - Top 10 Undergrad Business School (3.84 gpa)
GMAT - 680 (46Q,36V)

Personal
first in family to attend college (2 brothers and parents didnt graduate high school)
coached high school basketball while in undergrad (both volunteer and paid)

Recommendations
will have recommendations from head of investment banking, former manager, high school teacher

Desire is a top 10 b-school. Debating whether to retake GMAT as I think I can get to 720.

If you're confident you can get 720+ without much extra effort in prepping for the retake, it may be worth it. A 680 is right on the margins of the middle 80% which is fine, but you're safer getting a score at the averages of the top schools.

Beyond that, it just comes down to how well you execute the applications and choosing 5 or 6 schools that are a good fit for you.
