*will not be looking at applying for another three or four years due to Army committment (going back to school for MS in Engineering Project Management and then taking Company Command next), but will like to know if I'm on the right track. Also welcome to other suggestions for schools.
Since you seem to want to stay in local areas, you could also consider University of Maryland, SMU Cox, and Texas A&M. Since you have time before you will be applying, I would highly recommend you continue to work on the GMAT and see if you can score over 700. Your profile is unique and your leadership is clear, but if your academic ability is in question because of the not high GPA, then the GMAT can help assuage those concerns. You may also wish to enroll in some online courses to create an alternate transcript. In particular, plenty of people in the military take classes through University of Maryland's distance learning classes.
