Hi,

I am the Ankit from India. I gave my GMAt Yesterday (first attempt). I got a 620 Score (Q 44, V 31). Please find below my Job profile

Work Exp : 5.5 Years ( 5 Years in IT Software Testing, 6 months Process Consulting)
GPA : We dont have GPA system in my college ( 62% , my college follow the strict University of Pune scoring system, The highest in the unversity is about 76%, that made me in the top 20 percentile of the class)

I am not looking for any european or US schools, my focus is on Asian schools as due to some constraints i cannot live far away from India.

My target earlier was

1. HKUST
2. CUHK
3. Nayang
4. NUS

Please let me with this score should i apply to any of these. Also are you aware of any schools in the asian region where i can apply with this score.

Your score is probably fine for CUHK and NUS, but I do think you'll have to do better for HKUST and Nanyang. This, of course, assumes that you have the leadership and impact in your career that these programs are seeking.

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your evaluations. Actually i am in 2 minds about this. From the point of View of leadership i do have a experience of leading a team of 8 people for about a year or so.... also have been awarded awards from my company for the work done by me during the initial start up phase of the project.

From a EC i won the doubles badminton championship in my college and also won the Just a Minute (Kinda of extempore) at a inter college event.... Have also participated in organizing the college cultural festival by taking ownership of a event and conducting it,looking out for sponsorship etc.....

So i am not sure of this all is enough considering my GMAT score is on the lower side.....

Please advice if i should re take my GMAT...something which i am seriously considering....

It certainly cannot hurt to retake the GMAT - and get involved in leadership and sports again since all of your extracurricular activity is 5.5 years ago (most schools prefer to hear about experiences from the past 3 years).
