Thanks for you inquiry. Stanford and HBS are stretch programs. You have a competitive profile for Kellogg and Fuqua. You may also want to consider Haas, Ross, Darden, Columbia, Yale, and Georgetown.

Best,
Linda

Thank you so much Linda for your quick reply. I will definitely look into those other programs. I am a huge fan of Kellogg and would be honored by a chance to go there.

In terms of HBS or Stanford, is there anything I can do to make myself a more competitive applicant? Stanford has a joint MBA/MEd program that I am very interested in so I would like have an opportunity to consider going to school there.

Your work experience is very impressive and you do have a chance, but here is why I am discouraging you at HBS and Stanford, and slightly more encouraging about the other programs.

Both your GMAT and GPA are a little low for these schools and you are 3 years older than their typical accepted applicant; both are clearly trending younger. Kellogg, in contrast, is similar in terms of its academic, but it tends to value experience more. There is no harm in trying and hoping that your experience will carry the day at Stanford. It can happen, but be realistic.

Best,
Linda
