Hi,
Quick question on parallelism, here's are some samples
"the result depends on the person, the location, and the time"
should the preposition "on" be placed in front of each item: "on the person, on the location, on the time"?
"the result depends on who, on where, and on when"
in the case of these pronouns, they all happen to refer to nouns so this should work correct?
"the result depends on who, how, and when"
but in this case with "how", the pronoun "how" could be referring to a adjective for example, how quickly? very quickly?

The variations are fine. Of course on the exam, it's about picking the best one.
It's unnecessary to repeat the "on" for each item. Sometimes you repeat it for emphasis - or if the phrase is slightly different for each item.

yeah, its all about picking up the most correct choice among all. if you are clear with the basics, you should have no problem in solving it!
