Dear Junta

I have a query

I am planning to reapply to some of the schools I recieved a ding a from

But I have the following dilemma

My essays were very poor in my first application so if i mention that I am a reapplicant I feel my profile may look weak (some how I get that feeling)

Is it adviseable not to mention about your last app and apply as a fresh applicant ??

(Most schools have a check box indicating whether you are a reapplicant or not)

Regards
Venky

Well, the reason they ask if you are a re-applicant is because they want to know... I don't think you can "choose" whether or not you are a re-applicant. That is, its not a choice you make -- "I want to be considered a reapplicant" or "I dont want to be"... If you are a re-applicant, I would imagine they expect you to check that box (the essays are different too).

The best guess is to call the schools and ask

i agree with Rhyme....IMO if you are re-applying, you will have to check the re-applicant box.

As for submitting a fresh (stronger) set of essays...you can check that up with the schools...they might let you submit a fresh set...
