I have a very valuable tip for you which will save you a bunch of money and stress:
Don't go for a top 20 school.

If your short and long term goals revolve around your family business, you need only the knowledge and experience of a good MBA program--which can be found in many of the hundreds of schools which offer the degree. The reason people go to top 20 schools for their MBA is not to run their own business, but to get a job with a top corporation. If you are not looking to do this, you can save a lot of money and time by getting the education you need from an acredited MBA program at a school with a good reputation, but perhaps one that would be more convenient to you remaining involved in the business while you learn. They would also be far easier from an admissions perspective. Many schools also now offer a good night program option which would allow you much more time to continue working in the business. These also are easier to get into. You can also customize your degree a bit more and since it's spread out over more time, will have more time to react to a changing business environment and tweak your courseload to reflect the subtle nuances of your business as it grows.
