Researching schools [#permalink] New post 18 May 2013, 15:56
Hi,

I am researching various b-schools in the U.S. and EU and I was wondering where to find the following information in a consolidated way:
- School culture (collaborative vs competitive)
- Dominant teaching method (case-based, lectures, projects)

Does anyone know of an authoritative source for this information? Or do I have to visit each school's website?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Vincent

Hi! I am not sure such source exists... I think it will be better for you to explore these things by school research. I advice you to find current students from schools and chat/talk/e-mail them with the specific questions about the schools.
From what I know: Darden and HBS are the schools with 100% case method in the US, Ross, Darden, Kellogg, UCLA, Booth have collaborative culture.
I hope this helps.

Actually the best resources for information like this without visiting 100 websites is this old lo-tech thing called a book!
;)

I believe I remember this book has information about each program: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... a+programs

If not the Peterson's guide should have this (as well as testimonials by students about the quality of life stuff). Check out your local library.
