Ross - Part Time -- Please Help! [#permalink]

I took GMAT in January 2005. I had a bad day and didn't do well (thats not an excuse because one of my mentor used to say excuses never done a job). I knew even before I finished my exam because during the break after math I was thinking that I didn't do well and lost the interest on Verbal. So, I was going through the motion.
Per my friends advice, I didn't cancel scores and asked to show the scores. Without surprise, my scores were low - 470. (although Q was 40)
Now I am preparing for the second round. The mistake I did in the first exam is that I didn't take any practice test. This time around I am planning to take atleast 7 tests (2PR, 4KP, & 1PP)
If I were to take >650 in my second test, would the admission committee think that I am a poor candidate because I have an extremely poor score in the first GMAT?
My Profile:
6 years experience in Automotive Industry with some leadership roles.
MSME - 3.5GPA

hi,
if you score anything above your last score that will be taken as positive by the ad com.first thing is that Adcom will only see the score that you will submit and if you have a better score than you previous score its taken as positive by the adcom because first there is an improvement and secondly you tried and trying then succeding is the best thing in your application
regards

A single low score, followed by a higher score is probably just viewed as a "bad day" for the applicant and not an indication of the applicant's general ability.
