A) meaning alcohal interferes with brain cells when they are forming protiens ( awkward )
B) meaning alcohal interferes with those cells which form the protiens ( change of meaning )
D) alocohal interferes with brain cells to form protiens ( awkward and change of meaning )
E) same as (A)
In choices B,D and E the sentences do not convey what the ability of the brain cells is.

C) clearly talks about the ability of the brain cells and with this ability the alcohal interferes.
This is the best choice.
