can anyone explain why C is wrong here. To me, it appears change of meaning in D whereas meaning is same in C.

I will go with ‘C’.
I think ‘D’ should be ‘If you eat in this restaurant, you will often find…..’

OA is C.

I picked D too, the OE was that D alters the meaning of the statement.

IMO choices C & D are both very debatable. I think both are grammatically correct. It is just how you want to interpret things.

C means, as you start eating meaning during an action you would find out something. I didn't like this choice

D could wrong in the perfect world of GMAT because
If is something that you reserve for subjunctive moods. Correct usage "would be Should you eat in this restaurant".

Gayathri what is the source of this question?. Thanks

I agree with C as OA on this question. A conditional sentence starting with "if" needs "will" to complete the following sequence. rthothad explained it well. C changes the meaning of the sentence indeed but it is the only one that is not grammatically wrong.

The only thing I would like to add though is not to rely too much on Barron. Most of it's verbal and especially it's CD CAT is horrible :yikes

Thanks for the clarification Paul!

A quick question, when you say the Barron's verbal is horrible, do you mean the questions are not GMAT quality? :?

yes, many of its SC are not of GMAT quality in the sense that they are debatable. I remember the "grandmother" SC question discussed here http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... randmother
and here http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... randmother
which is one of a few examples I can remember of. In terms of RC and CR, I can't remember too well though. Just a note from my personal experience that on the other hand, Peterson's GMAT has very good SC questions but yet, is horrible in its CR and RC.

Hmmm, even its math is awful. Definitely easier than the real GMAT and it has all those math questions with bar charts and pie charts which are seldom present in the GMAT. It has no prob/combination question which is a big weakness. Once again, math is horrible as well and overall, I have nothing positive to say about math and verbal. A personal opinion also shared by many members including bb(GMAT club founder)

oh well, I guess I will stay away from it then!
A friend of mine passed it on to me and I thought it might come in handy for practice. But, guess not! :)
