The GMAT guide book says you should memorize all the schools you want to report to as they won't let you take notes into the exam room. Can someone shed some light on how that process works? Thanks!

I just took the exam. You can only submit scores to five schools. Just make sure you memorize these five. A search menu allows you to easily locate the school/program of your choice.

It's done on your computer just before the AWA. It's a good way to get acquainted with your hardware.

how exactly did u select?

there must be a long list of schools from throughout the world, isn't it?

You select using a drop-down menu. I believe that you can search under each country and state. It's relatively simple. It's a great warm-up before actually taking the test and puts your mind at ease before beginning.
I felt the same way about the essays as well. I'm glad they were at the beginning.
