I am planning for my mba in 2009. But my gmat score turned out pretty bad. So now i wanna give it again with proper preperation. But i think i will have to aplly for the round2. Can anyone please let me know if the univerities consider the round2 applications in the same way as they do round1 applications.
Also is joining the spring batch better than fall? If so why

Where are you looking to apply? Some schools only have Fall admissions.

In general, Adcoms are on record stating that there is no difference between R1 and R2, if there is an R3. Some schools have only two rounds and for those R2 is very tough (i.e. MIT). Try to avoid R3, imo. One thing to keep in mind is that R2 deadlines are approaching quickly, (as soon as 1st week of Jan).
As far as I know, the only late term top program is Columbia's J-term program.
