Hey Stolyar

Though i know about it, i really have not across an example with "other than"

Can you give me an example.

Activities other than copying, distribution and modification are not covered by the license; they are outside its scope.

Other than being ugly, the girl was pretty arrogant.

The servers are not optimized for speed or efficiency and may have security problems if used in a manner other than that for which they were designed.

My dictionary tells that OTHER THAN is a preposition meaning with the exception of, except for, besides: Other than one sister, she has no close relatives.

It also can be used as an adjective meaning being distinct from that or those first considered; "all parts of the house other than the windows were in good condition"; "apparently took no clothes other than those he was wearing"
