I will take the IBT in 3 weeks. I need some advice and I have some questions.
1-Can anyone compare the reading difficulties of GMAT and Toefl IBT?
2-Same is for writing sections?

What do you advice for the speaking section. My reading and listening is very well, but I am not fluent in speaking.

maliyeci,

You can view my earlier debrief for a comparison between TOEFL and GMAT questions. Brief, the GMAT is much more difficult. RC passages are equal in length but the questions are much more basic/linear on the TOEFL.

I also give tips on the writing section.

If you have any questions, you can PM me.

Best of luck!

Hi maliyeci,

my experience says that TOEFL questions are like a children game in comparison with GMAT ones...

Take into account that the TOEFL ibt exam tries to measure your english level, however, GMAT exam tries to measure much more of your skills.

I'm pretty sure that if you practice for the GMAT's writing section (AWA), you'll not find problems in that of TOEFL

Regarding speaking section... mate, this is the most difficult one. My two cents on this point:

· Try to be the first person to enter the class. At least in my case, people started the exam as they entered the class, so, people were at different parts of the exam when I was starting it. Imagine doing the listening section while other people is doing the speaking section...

· Practice in answering all the questions you're asked in the speaking section, and don't worry if there are a few seconds left when you finished your question.

All the best friend

Took toefl today. Reading, writing and speaking are easier than I expected. But listening is a bit harder. I think I will get a 105, hope to get 109-110 :-)

A question: Chicago wants 104. Do they accept 103???

2 years went. Took toefl last saturday. Results came in 1 week.
29 Reading
29 Listening
28 Writing
20 speaking. Speaking was too low because they asked 2 irrelevant questions. I could not answer them properly, if they had asked in my mother tongue.
Total : 106
Edit note: Forgot the total.
