Hello Everyone,
long time lurker finally deciding to create my own thread.
After reading gmatclub for awhile and reading statements such as "I'm depressed, i ONLY scored a 700" and "i know my 710 isn't a very good GMAT score" for a minute I started to actually believe the average b-school applicant had a 3.5 GPA and a 710 GMAT score but i know this is not the case.
So lets hear from those gmatclubbers who won't be going to H/W/S and won't even be applying, where are you guys planning on applying this year?
Some Guidelines:
- GMAT Scores in the 500-600 range
- GPA in the 2.5-3.5 range
- WE between 4-8 years
I'll start with myself
Age: 28 (29 this fall, 29-30 at time of matriculation)
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male
GMAT: 570
GPA: 3.1 (3.6 in the last 60 credit hours and 3.8 in major -- first two years of college I though majored in fraternity life)
Major: B.S. Finance
School: regional school, pretty well known in the NYC area (not NYU or Columbia)
EC: College - Fraternity Life and some community service, not much after undergrad
WE: 6 years in media/market research, held positions in research and sales
Schools i am applying to: Louisana State University (good placement in the energy sector which is where i want to work), University of Illinois, University of Arizona, University of Pittsburgh, University of Alabama (i like their strategy program), one safety school.
