the OG questions [#permalink] New post 22 Oct 2003, 11:57
Hi guys,
Hope everyone is doing well.
I have two questions. First, I have taken the GMAT once before (in August) - without using the OG. I scored 510. My goal is to score at a minimum 650; Now that I have the OG I think I realize why I scored so low. I'm simply getting alot of the problem solving and DS questions wrong. After question 150 in problem solving OG I have stopped timing myself on each question, because I simply cannot complete the question in <2minutes. I was not good at SC in August, so I have been going through the OG sentence correction while reading over grammer texts - I don't time myself. I think I am improving in SC this way. However, will all this non timing, taking as long as I need approach, to get the question done screw me over on the actual exam, or is it a normal learning technique? Suggestions, reassurance would help alot.

Secondly, for thoughs of you that score in the 600s and above, are the questions in the OG representative of the scoring level. If so, where in the OG text.

Many Thanks.

I'd say that the hardest OG quant questions are only representative of questions you'd see if you were to score below a 45. ETS won't publish their harder questions, so you won't get a chance to practice them.

That's how they can differentiate between all the people who are really great at math.
