Toefl again? [#permalink] New post 29 Nov 2005, 19:01
Last year, I took the toefl with no stellar results 263 (L22S28R28) but above the minimum requirement.

This year, I concentrated my efforts on the GMAT and obtained 740 (Q50 V42).

Considering the toefl mean of top business schools, I am worried about my toefl.

Could you comment whether I have take the toefl again or perhaps state my verbal progression in the optional essay?

Thanks in advance.

I share your concern. The safest route is to raise your TOEFL. If you aren't confident you can raise it or feel that you have other evidence of English proficiency, you can try to get by without retaking. Depending on what you have done to improve your English fluency and other elements of yoru profile, you may want to use the optional to discuss your English proficiency.

Good luck!
