UG GPA Calculation Question [#permalink] New post 03 Dec 2008, 00:27
I tried looking at particular schools FAQs but didn't find much. Does UG GPA mean the institution from which you graduated, or all institutions attended for UG? I've seen other degree programs say all, but just wanted to make sure.

I took 9 or so community college classes (most Comp Sci, some social science) during my last two years of HS and transferred them to my UG. I got like a 3.9 in these classes, so it would help my GPA significantly if it did.

If those community college classes show up as credits on your UG transcript, include those in your GPA calculation. Else, you will have to upload two separate transcripts for both institutions and report their GPAs separately. Use the degree granting institution as your "primary" UG school.

Most applications allow you to report academic records from multiple institutions.

All the admin offices will say that you should send transcripts from ALL institutions attended.

However, reality is that if your MAIN school (or school you received undergrad degree from) actually gave you a grade for those credits (meaning they show grade plus credits transferred), then you don't need to request additional. But since this varies by school, best option is to request and forward all.
