Number of incorrect AO: 4

Number of correct AO : 1

Probability of finding the correct AO : 1/5 ( or 20 %)

Probability of finding the incorrect AO and eliminating that option: 4/5 (or 80 %)

After you have eliminated 1 incorrect AO, probability of finding the correct AO : 1/4 ( or 25%)

After you have eliminated 2 incorrect AO, probability of finding the correct AO: 1/3 (or 33%)

After 3 AO are eliminated, probability of finding the correct AO: 1/2 ( or 50%)

Using POE is like using a sniper. The test taker can zoom in on the target (Correct AO)
