If I travelled the first one-third of my journey between Sunniville and Gloomiville ata a speed of 60 km/hr and the remaining distance at 75 km/hr, what is the average speed of my travel?

This is how i solved it.
Pick a nice distance that can easily be divided by 60 and 75 such as 900.
Find the time it took for each 3rd of the trip.
so...1st 3rd 300/60 = 5hour
2nd 3rd 300/75 = 4hr
3rd 3rd 300/75 = 4hr
so total distance/total time = 900/13 = 69.23 closest to 69.25
Shubhangi, i couldnt really figure out your equation, can you explain it a little more? Using your equation I got 1/3 * 60 + 2/3 * 75 = 70, which is closest to the answer but is that the right way of solving it?
