Waiting List [#permalink] New post 18 Jan 2005, 15:59
Hi Linda,

I have been placed on the waiting list of Tepper MBA 05 admission. I have two friends who are current MBA students at Tepper and I would like them to write me letters of support.

Can you advise on what the content of letter should be? In addition to emphasizing how much I want to attend the school and how a good fit I am with the school's philosophy?

My background is engineering...4-yr experience @ Intel and an average GMAT 670..a 3.52 GPA and two bachelor degrees: ECON and EE.

Thanks in advnace.

Michael,

You have the right idea in terms of content for the letters and seeking them. Here are a couple of articles I wrote on wait-list strategy and tactics and they answer your questions.

"5 Keys to Unlock the Waitlist Lock"

"Waitlist Purgatory"

In addition, I am just about finished with a special report/ebook 9 Mistakes You Don't Want to Make on an MBA Waitlist. It should be ready in one to two weeks. If you (or anyone else) are interested in being notified when it is available, please send an e-mail to wlebook@accepted.com
