Wharton asks for a "work number or pin number" if the firm we work(ed) for using an automated verification system. I know that both my current employer and my prior employer uses "theworknumber.com" because they both referred me to it, but no one seems to know what this number is. Is anyone else having this issue? Is it simply the employee unique identifier that would be on my badge or is it specific to this website?

If you have anything that resembles such number, mention it. If you do not have one, or there is no way to retrieve it, just N/A the field. This most certainly will be used for verification purposes by a company like Kroll, or whoever they are using these days.
