M 20 Hispanic US Citizen
1) Brief description of your full-time work experience. None, I'm applying to pre-experience programs. 2 internships: a NIH Funded/University funded research program where I was a co-principal investigator on grants/research associate and one summer of investment banking in healthcare mergers and acquisitions. 2) Your GMAT. 680 GMAT (41, 41) 3) College info: The name of the college, your GPA or grade average, your major, year of graduation. For any graduate degrees, please provide the same info. If you grades are low, please indicate if there were extenuating circumstances. Nova Southeastern, 3.01 Biology (I was ill for several semesters, had to take a semester of medical leave, I am responding well to treatment and I will mention it in the optional essay), 2013 Grad 4) Significant college and post-college extra-curricular activities or community service, especially leadership experience. Hillel Treasurer, Volunteered with homeless for 3 years approx 15 hours a month 5) Important certifications like CFA, CPA, FSA, or CA. N/A 6) Your target programs. Duke Fuqua MMS, Wake Forest MA, Villanova MSF, Illinois MSF, Ohio State MSF, UT Austin MSF and Southern Methodist MSF 7) Your post-MBA goal. Investment Banking in particular Healthcare

Investment Banking in particular Healthcare You have a lot going for you, but that 41 quant score could be an issue. I'm not at all optimistic about your chances at Duke. You are much more competitive at the other schools on your list provided that your grades in quant classes are strong. Basically if you want to argue that your grades are weak because of illness and absent the illness, they would have higher, your case would be much stronger with a higher quant score. Best, Linda
