There's no such thing as a GMAT that will "definitely" get you into CBS or NYU. It doesn't work that way. Their 80% GMAT ranges are very close: CBS's is 660-760 and NYU's is 640-750. So I suppose a 780 would come as close to "definite" as possible but you still don't want any major weaknesses in your app: like weak leadership or no community. Again assuming an at least solid app in terms of leadership, community, GPA, etc., then a 730+ GMAT score should make you somewhat optimistic at these schools. A "coin toss" score might be in the 690+ area for someone with the profile you gave me (different story entirely for underrepresented minorities and female news anchors from Borneo).
