I need your help urgently. I am screwing up on a lot of |x| DS questions!! I get all sweaty whenever i see a || (mod Function)

Please let me know how to tackle such questions, what is the first thing that comes in your mind when you see a mod function....what is the approach you follow when tackling such questions....

TIA

Just see lxl as positive if x>0
and see lxl as negative if x< 0

e.g. lx-5l<3
thus x-5<3>0
or 5-x>3, if x-5<0

Check the book by mangmat on absolute values. I guess that will solve all your issues.

Hope this helps.
