7. There Are Lots of Experimental Questions

Depending on who you ask, there are as many as 8-10 experimental questions per section. That's close to one in four. If you needed any more convincing that you should guess on the questions that completely baffle you and save time, this should be it.

I'm not sure that you can equate a baffling question to an experimental question. It could very well be a 700-level question that you just don't understand. That doesn't necessarily mean it's an experimental question. I wouldn't spend more than a minute or so attacking it, but I also wouldn't just assume it's experimental and blindly guess. Overall though, good tips. Thanks.

3 is so true... didnt see a single prob/comb question on my exam. I did see 3-4 ratio/rates problems though. But maybe because my math wasnt high enough to see the prob questions?

side question - do the experimental questions affect your score's standing at all?
Ex:
first 5 quest - C,C,C,C,C exp quest W. now is my next non-experimental question going to be determined on 5 correct answers (which would be tougher) or 5 Correct and 1 wrong (which could be easier)? not like it matters a whole lot but just kinda curious.

I asked the same question in a MGMAT gmat information session I attended a while back and their answer was the next question would be based on the 5 questions you got correct with no regard to the experimental question.
