First ever GMAT practice test: 660 [#permalink]

Hello everyone,

I just did my first ever GMAT practice test. It was one of the official tests. I did 660. (Q:49, V:32)

Here are my questions:

1) How much improving margin do I have?
2) I'm aiming for 700+. How much work do I need? I'm working full-time at the moment. So I will be able to spend 10 hours a week. Will 8 weeks be enough?
3) How much time should I spend for quantitative and how much for verbal?
4) What should my work strategy be like?

Any other help, advice, comment is highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance!

Congrats! 660 is a great baseline score.
Its quite obvious that you have a lot of scope for improvement in verbal. I think at this time you should devote 80% of your time to Verbal.
8 weeks is a tight timeline, usually it takes more time to build skills required for verbal. You should refer to this great thread for verbal prep. Don't forget to add prep time for AWA and IR.
