Re: GMAT Book on Data Sufficiency [#permalink]
^^

This means your problem solving (PS) skills are weak. This is why I said there is not a book for DS. You need to hone in on your problem solving skills (word translations, etc.) to resolve this.

The strategy works as long as one of the options is "easier" (more direct) than the other. A DS book will NOT help you here.

PS:

If these things were "silly" you wouldn't be working on them.

I agree with username123 and mohater. It seems to me like you're having trouble translating questions and statements to their mathematical meaning. What the AD/BCE strategy helps you do is to eliminate three or two options respectively depending on whether the first statement is right or not. But to find that and use this strategy you need to hone your problem solving skills. As username suggested, buy the MGMAT Quant books and master the concepts first and I am sure that DS will become more straightforward. I don't believe you need a special book for DS. Once you master the concepts, the DS questions from the OG/OG Quant Review might be more than enough.

I agree with you all. And I meant , in fact , the same. The book I am looking for is to master the maths not how to solve it. As you know DS questions are diffferent than those of other quant. section I am just looking for a book what will help me to be expert on the particular type of maths appears in DS part.

Thanks

There is a DS book by the way, but as mentioned, you really need to get the basics such as arithmetic up.

That was the only book on DS and probably the most comprehensive still. However, there is actually one more book now on DS, as of a week ago:
