hi.
first of all would like to thank you for the latest upgrade, fast opening of windows, good job.

beside this,i've one question. in app store of your application there is MGMAT SC (interactive book) , from where i can read about this? i mean,is this just a PDF file of that book or something else? and is that included all the sections and material from original book?

Hi,

Thanks for your words!

If you buy an interactive book, it appears in the Library. In the Library there is also a sample book, so you can try to read/work with it to see how interactive books work.

Hey Walker,

So the iOS 5 is out there today, and I wanna updated my iPad 2, but I am less than a 100 shy of finishing the 700+ tough quant questions, and then have worked on my OG too a bit. Is there any chance I might lose any of my progress on the app? I know I can back up the OG progress, is there any way to back up the PRACTICE progress as well, including the bookmarks?

Thanks for all your prompt responses!

Hi,

I'm just doing the same thing - updating my iPad2 installing the iOS 5.

1) iTunes backs up your iPad before installing a new iOS, so you will be fine
2) Yes, you can back-up Practice data ( >Practice>Filter>Import/Export) but you can't back-up bookmarks

UPDATED: I've installed iOS5 and all GMAT ToolKit data were restored.

Best,

Awesome dude... I'll update mine.
Hey... One more time, can you confirm that the interactive MGMAT SC book comes with the 6 MGMAT practice test access?

Hey Walker,

first of all thanks for the awesome app. I am sure it is going to prove to be more than worth the money.

I have a couple questions since I am not sure where else to ask.

1) I've been using the app on my iPhone, just bought my new iPad 2 today. Is there any way to sync the progress (OG tracker, practice results) between the two, such as through MobileMe - iCloud, Dropbox? If not, can you suggest how to transfer my progress from the iPhone into the iPad and the other way? I will be mostly using the app on the iPad but you know, there are places where I'll probably just sit around with my iPhone... ;)

2) I have used MGMAT's OG Tracker, is there a way to get my stats into the app?

3) Why not include the rest of the GMAT Math Review (by GmatClub) in the review section? Or perhaps make it a very cheap in-app purchase, in case $ is the motivation for not including it?

Thanks!

Thanks for you words!

1) Yes, you can transfer data from iPhone to iPad. It's a bit inconvenient but we are working on more seamless synchronization. Here are steps you should do:
iPhone:
- OG Tracker > Export/Import (the button in the top-right corner) > Backup
- Practice > Filter > Export/Import (the button in the top-right corner near "+") > Backup
both backups will open email app with data that you can send to yourself.

iPad:
- open email app > open email with data > copy all; open GMAT ToolKit > OG Tracker > Export/Import (the button in the top-right corner) > Clipboard
- open email app > open email with data > copy all; open GMAT ToolKit > Practice > Filter > Export/Import (the button in the top-right corner near "+") > Clipboard

2) Can you export data from MGMAT OG Tracker in txt xls or other common formats? If yes, send me those files and I send you back data that can be imported in the app.

3) It's a good idea, let me discuss it with bb.

Please let me know if you have any other questions/suggestions.

Thanks,
Walker

Hey Walker,

thanks for the swift reply. I have tried the suggested approach to syncing, but no luck so far. I got stuck when I tried to copy all the contents of the mailed data and then clicked clipboard in the import page app (nothing happens). Maybe the problem is I downloaded additional practice questions for my iPhone and haven't done so on the iPad yet. Will try and let you know.

It is not a big deal anyway, was mostly curious (can always redo some of the questions, can't really hurt, right? ;) ). Regarding the export of data from MGMAT's OG tracker I will try and email their tech support (they do not have the export option within their webpage).

One thing that I think might help people like me would be a comprehensive FAQ (sorry if it exists, have been really busy lately) that could perhaps be accessible from the app - or some other form of "tech support". And definitely the seamless sync (as in a proper sync - combining data from iPhone and iPad apps). Will let you know in case I come up with anything else. :)

Not yet. We are still looking for a good Android developer to finish our first app. Today's question is rather when we are going to release Android app than whether we are going to release it or not.

Hey all,

first of all, after a week or so of using the app, I must say it is definitely worth getting - it is just awesome to be able to review stuff and practice when one is waiting/commuting etc. I am a little sad that I ordered the Advanced Quant MGMAT book thru Amazon about two weeks ago, since you've made it available for less thru the app.

Walker, have you considered adding books more related to essays and general admission proccess (Great apps for bschools etc.) ?
