In the Practice you can add to the app as many questions as you want if you put them in special format.
Practice > Filter > "+" ---> create a custom set with 0 questions --> Edit --> add questions

This feature is not used very often but some of our users find it useful to add a couple of questions they want to keep in one place (the app).

Thanks Walker. One more feature suggestion. Lets say I am doing the PS section of the OG12. I have answered question 129 already and the time has been recorded. When I later answer question 128, the software moves on to 129 and continues the timer. This should not happen. It should ideally skip to the next unanswered question and not mess with the time of the already answered questions.

I recently purchased Knewton the gmat club tests and the toolkit were included. How do I download the toolkit without paying for it on Itunes? Thanks in advance.

IndianGuardian, I see your point but I don't know how to resolve it in the most efficient way. It happens if you are revising your answers or trying to go back and solve skipped questions. When you moved backward, the app doesn't know what do you want to do next: resolve the next question or go to first unanswered question. If you want to resolve the next question and the app move you to the end of the list each time, it would be annoying. To sum up, definitely would be better to change default behavior but we have to think about more user-friendly solution.

Thanks again for the idea. Let me know if you have any other thoughts.

Best,
Walker

All questions in GMAT ToolKit are from the best test prep companies or from GMAT Club Tests. All of those resources where tested by students over a couple of years at least. So, you can rely on them. Additional questions that you can download and add to the app may come from different resources and useful if you run out of built-in questions or want to focus on specific type of questions.

Now about math. There is no "yes/no" answer to your question. Personally for me only hard math questions helped me to get Q50 but I know others who found more useful to practice with less challenging questions. It depends on your learning style, how you work with questions, and what your target is. Try to solve and understand 50 or so hard questions. If you feel you have learned new concepts and tricks, go ahead and keep solving them. If your target is 700+, the questions are just what you need, if <700, probably less challenging questions would be more appropriate taking into account that only 2 weeks left.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
Best,
Walker

You may also find it useful to go over those questions (Probability/Counting): combinations-permutations-and-probability-references-56486.html

I saw people reported 0-7 probability/counting problems on exam. In general there are 2. So, can you get 700+ skipping probability/counting questions? It's possible.
I'm not a big specialist in scoring system and you may find a lot of posts dedicated to it. What I know is that the easier question you get wrong the more points you lose and that verbal and quant sections have different sensitivity to mistakes.

I can attest to how awesome this app is.

Just a quick note to those maintaining it - going in and out of the "scratch" paper mode clears it in the latest version for me. It was preferable when it was maintained so that I could compare my notes with what the explanation says, or to see if I made a careless calculation error.

Thanks for a great tool!

We are going to submit 1.6.10 update in a week or so that includes following improvements:

+ new scratch pad behavior: do not erase a drawing when working with the same problem.

Thanks,

We are going to submit 1.6.10 update today. What's new:

+ the scratchpad is not longer being cleared when it's opened several times for the same question.
+ fixed the issue that the app may occasionally crash when opens the scratchpad.
+ the timer in the Practice tool correctly handles situations when the app becomes inactive/active.

By the way, we keep working on 2.0.0 version that we are going to release in 2-3 months.

Thanks for feedback!
