Taking an impulse trip to Chicago tomorrow with my girlfriend and was thinking about throwing in a school visit when I get in tomorrow. I plan to apply to both Kellogg and Booth, but am not sure which to do - Thinking Booth on this trip just because it is really close to my hotel.

I also am not certain about which activities to participate in b/c I'll be traveling with her. Not sure how many hours I want to make her endure. Thinking activities like sitting in on class might be less enjoyable for her so possibly an info session and building tour - but wonder if I'd be missing all the good stuff.

I know it's not the most ideal way to go about a school visit, but I'm not in Chicago very often and was thinking it would be a good chance to see at least one of the schools.

Any advice re: which school and which activities? Also, this may be a silly question, but what's the general attire for visits?

If you have to do one activity during your school visit, talk to as many current students as possible. You will get the pulse of the school. If possible, speak to few 1st yr current students and few 2nd yr students.

If you have time, meet the admissions team. Research about the school. Don't ask the questions that you can find answers on their website. Use this opportunity to make an impression. Good luck!
