Manhattan GMAT Study Guides [#permalink] New post 11 Apr 2012, 17:22
Hi-
Want to know if the Manhattan GMAT Study materials are an excellent source of study guides for someone who hasn't been in school for at least 20 years and was never good at standardize tests, ie SAT. I need study materials that would walk me through step-by-step (tips, guides...)
I'm in my late 40s and would like to get my MBA, but the GMAT test is sort of a "stumper." If anyone who has used the Manhattan GMAT study guides and was in the same position as I'm now, please let me know, if it was really helpful to you. Thank you :)

Yes, I would say the Manhattan Gmat guides are the best for this and the most thorough. They go through everything you should know on the Gmat and make it quite simple. You will also need to have a copy of the Official guide as they refer to more practice questions along with their own to ensure you have sufficient practice material.

The Manhattan GMAT Study Guides are very excellentfor comprehensive review. Both the Quant and the Verbal sections. Check various websites for their respective reviews of the study guides. The good thing about the Manhattan GMAT Study Guides is that they have corresponding exercises with the Official Guide 12th Edition, which can help reinforce some of the concepts being explained at the end of every chapter in the book (with the exception of the Reading Comprehension Guide). I will give these guides a 9 out of 10, because although they cover a lot, they cannot cover everything.

This is just my two cents.
