Profile:
undergrad : 2.93 EE & Comp. Eng at top 30 eng. school
grad(recently finished) 3.3 Comp Sci at top 30 eng. school
gmat 720

age 28.
5+ years in IT field.

I have a few preliminary schools in mind for MBA (e-commerce,finance,management):
Yale
Cornell
NYU
UCLA
haas

I understand my gpa is not very good - i made some silly mistakes like trying to switch to premed during my undergrad year :(.
In any case, top 10 schools i think will all be reaches and i probably will target maybe 2 of them and then target the rest on competitive/realistic schools. My ultimate goal is probably Yale just because my parents work there and i can save money living at home and i think there's also children reimbursement (need to double check) - but regardless no housing/food cost is pretty huge. With that said I like the east coast (hence NYU, cornell) but am also a fan of the sunny west coast. I looked through the geographic locations of the top 30 and many of them fit into that criteria.

Can someone help me with a few schools that would be good targets or reaches and perhaps a couple of "safe" schools? thanks!

Have you considered PT programs?
With a good story you just might be able to get into those.

I think it depends on the school and the brand that carries over. I had no choice but to go for a PT MBA and I heard great things about Booth and Kellogg's Weekend MBA program. Look at your target schools and see if they offer a PT program. Check out the PT section here and you will gain a lot of insight. Best of luck!
