wednesday morning i found out that i won't be attending NYU this septemeber, i can confirm that the web site is updated before the e-mail goes out, i did a random check on the web site and then received the e-mail at least an hour later, i submitted extra information on monday, so it appears that it only took a day or two for adcom to review and give me a decision
i plan on taking a statistics course and retaking the GMAT because i need to improve my quant qualifications and i want to have more professional experience so i plan on applying fall 2008

Sure. 620/8.5 years/IT Management/Strong Progression/Foreign Degree ( so I don't know the GPA)/NYU is my only target school.
What's yours epb?

Did you mean to say you were waitlisted and found out a week after the classes began? I guess my question is - was this in spring 07 or fall 06?
Because there are a few of us waiting to hear, the classes begin on Sept 08th, I hope we won't have to wait till that date, because we won't have any time to apply for Spring 08, unless of course we do the app process in parallel.

that's right but the orientation is on 8th / 9th. Stern says attendance is mandatory for everyone

Hi All,
I just called the Adcom to know the notification deadline to get the final decision (for the people on the waitlist). They said:
September 24th, as the classes begin September 24th. As it is a Monday, we should get it, I guess, by the Friday before: September 21st.

Sarah, Thanks for checking with adcom and your update. For reapplicants, Stern needs one more reference. Wouldn't it be too short a time we would have to give to our managers or whoever writes us a reference? And on the other hand, I don't think one would want to create the online account for the spring application on Stern website while still waiting to hear about the fall application.
Any thoughts how we could tackle this?

Actually, I am thinking that we could even get the answer later, if anyone only lets the Adcom know that he/she is dropping the program DURING the 1st week of class!
