Equal quantities of two mixtures containing chocolate milk and water in the ratio of 1:2 and 2:3 were mixed to form mixture A. Equal quantities of two other mixtures containing almond milk and water in the ratio of 3:4 and 4:5 were mixed to form a mixture S. If mixtures A and S were mixed in a ratio of 6:7, find the ratio of quantities of chocolate milk and almond milk in the resultant mixture.

A. 18:25
B. 18:23
C. 19:24
D. 21:30
E. 2:3

CM - Chocolate
AM - Almond
W - water

See here quantities of initial mixtures are same for both A and S. So, the LCM way fits perfectly.
After that the total quantities of these 2 are in ratio of 6:7
So from there get a constant value.
And finally the required answer CM/AM.

Hope it helps.

amount of chocolate milk in mixture A=(x/3+2x/5)/2x=11/30........if equal quantity of x is mixed
amount of almond milk in mixture S=(3y/7+4y/9)/2y=55/126.......if equal quantity of y is mixed
now above two mixtures are mixed in the ratio 6:7
so ratio of chocolate milk to almond milk=(6*11/30) / (7*55/126)=18/25
A

Let,
X = 1 : 2 (chocolate milk : water)
Y = 2 : 3 (chocolate milk : water)
In every 3 quantity of X....... Chocolate milk = 1
So..... In 15 quantity of X...... Chocolate milk = 5
In every 5 quantity of Y........ Chocolate milk = 2
So....... In 15 quantity of Y........ Chocolate milk = 6
Let, A = ( 15 of X ) + ( 15 of Y ) = total 30 quantity
So....... A has total 11 quantity of chocolate milk

Let,
W = 3 : 4 (almond milk : water)
Z = 4 : 5 (almond milk : water)
In every 7 quantity of W....... Almond milk = 3
So..... In 63 quantity of W...... Almond milk = 27
In every 9 quantity of Z........ Almond milk = 4
So....... In 63 quantity of Z........ Almond milk = 28
Let, S = ( 63 of W ) + ( 63 of Z ) = total 126 quantity
So....... S has total 55 quantity of almond milk
Now.... 126 of S has 55 almond milk
So..... 35 of S has 275/18 almond milk

Now..... A : S = 6 : 7 = 30 : 35 = final mixture
So.... 30 of A has 11 chocolate milk
And...... 35 of S has 275/18 almond milk
Chocolate milk : Almond milk = 11 : 275/18 = 18 : 25
